A pre-production sample is a 1:1 prototype of your packaging, printed using production equipment. It’s the equivalent of investing in the production of one unit of packaging, making it the most expensive type of sample. Pre-production samples are ideal if you need to see exactly how your packaging will look before starting a production order.
Because pre-production samples are manufactured using production facilities, they can include all of the following features:

Printed proofwith fnishes & add-ons
Typically, pre-production samples take 9-13 days to complete and 7-10 days to ship.
Select the packaging type and define the specifications (e.g. dimensions, material).
Place a sample order and pay in full.
We will create the die-line for you so you can add your artwork
Add your artwork to the die-line and send it back to us for approval.
Samples will be printed based on the artwork file you send.
We will send photos and mail physical samples to the address you specify.
Pre-production samples are available for reference for all packaging types.

**If you provide the dieline for your insert, we can provide pre-production samples of custom boxed inserts. If you do not have the dieline for your insert, we can assist in designing your insert as part of our structural design service.
Pre-production sample costs are fully reimbursed for orders of 5,000 pieces and above.
If you have multiple samples eligible for reimbursement per item, you will be reimbursed for the most expensive sample.
NOTE: Sticker samples are not eligible for reimbursement.
Before ordering pre-production samples, please carefully check whether the specifications and details of the samples meet your expectations.
After the sample is made, any changes in scope and artwork will incur additional charges.
